Proactive Team Building
Why?
The KSF Proactive Team Building process helps you take your team from its current level to the next plateau of effectiveness and accountability or to form and develop teams that are prepared to accept the challenges with which they are charged.

A team must be prepared to focus on both a strategic and cultural agenda. Its ability and willingness to address all issues relevant to the collective success of the greater organization of which they are a part will determine the effectiveness of the team. To do so, the team must have a high level of cross-functional accountability and commitment among all team members. A team built on mutual respect and interpersonal accountability is a team ready to face the tough challenges and decisions.

What?
The KSF Proactive Team Building process is designed to help teams develop a cross-functional accountability for the product of the team’s work and their responsibility for providing leadership as the team deploys its end product. It causes team members to surface and identify behaviors and thinking that may individually and collectively limit their effectiveness as problem solvers and as leaders.

The process provides a common experience that creates more effective communications and an interdependent commitment among team members.

How?
KSF Consultants conduct comprehensive and probing interviews with each member of the Team. The interviews are focused on both interpersonal and team process dynamics. KSF Consultants are very skillful and professional in their resolve to discover the underlying and defining issues, interests, and positions that comprise the collective team’s current mindset and operating culture.

In addition to helping KSF Consultants identify critical issues, the interview process provides a vehicle for building trust between each team member and the Consultants. Trust and respect for the facilitators and the process are essential to the success of the team.

Your Team will participate in an off-site team development exercise. The team will participate in a ‘read-back’ session to surface the issues identified in the interviews. The consultants will facilitate this exercise in a non-threatening, unbiased, yet to-the-point manner.

The team will then participate in a highly interactive and insightful learning experience culminating in the development of their own ‘team charter.’ The charter will define the behavioral characteristics and protocol they feel will result in the highest level of trust, respect and effectiveness among team members.

Pay-off!
An energized team with the personal accountability, interpersonal commitment, and the resolve to effectively and proactively address issues and challenges.
